About Iridium
Iridium was founded on the principle that good legal advice should be accessible, clear, and tailored to the specific context of each client. We recognised that many organisations and individuals in Hong Kong—particularly those working in sports, procurement, and personal estate planning—needed advisory support that balanced professional rigour with practical clarity.
Rather than approaching every matter as a complex litigation problem, we focus on understanding what actually matters to you: your timelines, your constraints, your concerns. This approach has shaped how we work across all three of our practice areas. In sports law, we respect the rhythm and pressures of athletic competition. In procurement, we recognise the contractual frameworks and stakeholder dynamics that shape decision-making. In estate planning, we understand that discussing mortality and incapacity requires sensitivity and patience.
Our team has worked across government agencies, private practice, and in-house roles in Hong Kong. This experience has given us direct exposure to how legal issues actually play out in real organisations and real lives. We use this knowledge to provide advice that is not only legally sound but genuinely workable.
We maintain small client numbers by design. This allows us to give each matter the attention it deserves, to be responsive to your needs, and to build the kind of working relationships where trust and clarity are possible. We measure our success not by legal victories or invoice totals, but by whether our clients feel they truly understand their options and feel supported in their decision-making.

Our Expertise in Hong Kong Legal Practice
Iridium's practice focuses on three distinct areas where we have developed genuine expertise and deep client relationships. Within each area, we understand not just the law, but the industry, the stakeholders, and the practical realities that shape decision-making.
Sports Law Advisory
Hong Kong has a dynamic sports ecosystem with professional leagues, international governing bodies, and growing athlete representation. Our sports law work addresses the unique intersection of competitive pressures, sponsorship relationships, and regulatory frameworks. We advise on player contracts, league governance, disciplinary matters, and the complex relationship between Hong Kong entities and international sports organisations.
Procurement Contract Advisory
Procurement in Hong Kong spans government contracts, public-private partnerships, and large-scale commercial procurement. Each context has distinct requirements and stakeholder pressures. We help our clients navigate tender processes, contract documentation, performance management, and dispute mechanisms—ensuring that contractual protections are practical and proportionate to the actual risks involved.
Estate Planning & Powers of Attorney
Planning for incapacity or death requires both legal precision and human understanding. Hong Kong's Mental Health Ordinance sets the framework for lasting powers of attorney, but the practical implementation requires careful navigation of family dynamics, asset considerations, and personal preferences. We provide thorough, patient guidance at each stage of the process.
